Bryst FA Showcase Girls Earn SAAC Double

(October 4, 2009) - The first of three SAAC Academy Cup Finals took place this morning at St. Joan of Arc High School Stadium in Maple, Ontario. League Champions and defending 2008 Cup Champions Bryst FA took on 2008 League Champions USC Academy.

In a game that started in a downpour but ended in sunshine, Bryst FA handled the weather changes the best as they scored two second half goals to defeat USC 2-0. Sara Luchetti opened the scoring in the 58th minute and Martiquoi Lampkin added an insurance marker with 7 minutes to play. Bryst FA become the first girls team to capture the SAAC Double (League and Cup Champions).

The two Boy's Finals were played in the evening. ANB Futbol edged Sigma FC 3-2 in Junior Boys Cup Final while Bryst FA Red held off Sigma FC White 3-2 in Senior Boys Cup Championship. >>>
